You’ve just got to pull off the tabs as you’re fitting it in there.
As with most rain guards, this is going to be quick and easy to install. A lot of guards stick to the frame of cars instead of inside the channel like this one, this method is more secure and the enclosed space inside your window channel means it’s “walled in” so it’s less likely to come loose.
As for the durability – it’s made of acrylic so the only really concern you’ll have is if they crack somehow. As long as you don’t come along and brute force it with a hammer these will last a long time.

These rain guards come with a 5 year warranty. Which is a good amount of time, but a bummer compared to competitors lifetime warranties.
They come with a little strip of backing you pull off and then just pressure fit them for install.
We like how low the lip comes on this model, you wouldn’t even be able to tell if someone had the windows cracked unless you got up close. Drivers are often overjoyed at the functionality product, but it’s more than that. They look really good on a Jeep. It’s a nice aesthetic upgrade that takes no longer than fifteen minutes to install.
They are a bit more expensive than other options in their class, but if you dig the look it’s worth throwing a few extra bucks out for these.

If you have a 2 door Jeep JK these rain guards are calling your name. They are installed differently than most, and are not an in-channel visor like our previous examples. We aren’t a huge fan of that because we feel in-channels tend to stick more snugly, but these are the most affordable 2 door option so that weighs into it. You just pull the tape off and they’re fitted to your Jeeps window profile.

The IKON Motorsports Rain Guards are the best budget option available. You won’t be spending much, and you’ll be spending almost half of what you would on similar setups. Yet you still get 4 acrylic guards to keep your Jeep rain free.
We don’t like that it’s only a 60 day warranty, and that’s our number one concern with the unit. But, they have plenty of happy customers who have vouched for the brand. They’re a stick on installation and not an in-channel option. So line them up and go to work. Even if you end up not liking these(which won’t happen), they were barely any money so you could rip them off without buyers remorse.
How to Install Rain Guards on your Jeep
- Grab a wrench.
- Set down the wrench because you won’t need it.
- Slide the rain guards into the grooves in your windows with the frame down. This install doesn’t require any tools – just pressure fit your new rain guards and you’re good to go.

Conclusion
Our favorite option was the Rugged Ridge matte black, we like the look and while their warranty isn’t as strong as some, it wasn’t a deciding factor. If we didn’t want to spend a lot of money, Ikon Motorsports would be the clear choice. A nice option if you’re not too stuffy about warranties as it still looks great.
