It fits both 2WD Tacomas along with 4WD as long as they’re from the specified date range. This does not fit TRD Off-Road models. It’s a very durable kit and will make your truck look spiffy.
The installation is regarded on the easier end and will take you about 2 to 4 hours if you have some familiarity with working on your vehicle. No special tools, just elbow grease.

Your OEM suspension is left alone, and your ride stays exactly the same. As always there is a trade-off. This kit is more expensive than our previous option and also includes many more components.
So what you’re looking at is a long freaking time for installation. How long it takes depends on you and whoever you have helping – but expect to spend some time on this. More than you would with spacers. After you see the difference in height of your lift it will all be worth it. Three inches without messing with your stock suspension is a pretty great deal.

It will fit on top of the strut, so your original suspension is not affected as it doesn’t pre-load the spring. It is not compatible with the Tacoma Pro.

This is going to take you a bit to install, and it would help to have a friend. But, it’s a great option for Tacoma owners if you’re looking for another non-intrusive lift kit.
4. MotoFab Lifts 95Taco-3F-2R 3" Front and 2" Rear Leveling lift kit for Toyota Tacoma 1995-2004
For earlier models of the Tacoma there aren’t a lot of lift options around, thankfully Motofab is here to save the day. They have a lift kit that works from 1995 all the way to 2004.
This covers the gap that the later designs don’t fill. Probably the coolest thing about this company is that the kit is made in the USA and you get a lifetime warranty.
One of the simplest kits we’ve come across, the manufacturer suggests it only takes about 1 1/2 hours to install. Take that with a grain of salt though, our rule of thumb is to at least double install times that are recommended. The billets are made from CNC machined aluminum, so they’re solid quality pieces that should last for some time. If you’ve got an earlier model of Tacoma, we think this is the one.

Easy bolt-on installation that should take anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 hours.
Remember that adding a lift kit is going to increase the strain on surrounding components. The higher you go – the harsher it gets. It will also affect your ride minimally.
